Well its out now. As much as I was hoping it would make them better, it seems like some skill got nerfed. Scythes appear to be nerfed more now. It seems they didn't just nerf it for all other professions (sins in particular), they nerfed it for the dervishes as well. Most of the skills I normally used seem to be radically changed (maybe for the better, but it doesn't appear that for right now though). Hopefully this makes the Dervish better, but for right now, idk.
EDIT: On second thought, looking at more skills, this may make it better. I just need to try to make a new skill bar. Scythe changes still seem bad for the dervish though.

Plus Shards can be pre-cast, so you'd have 8 straight attacks if you know what you're doing. That seems absolutely insane to me.

Yuppers .... wayyy too strong looking to me

My hypothesis is that they changed those 2 so that dervishes won't do 200 damage per regular hit HAHA. Maybe they just saw it might make them more overpowered, IDK.
BUH and AS are such a big disappointment, I use BUH to buff my ele's fire dmg in HM.

But it's near-MAINTAINABLE. It's far better as a pressure tool tool for that reason, plus that basic scythe attack AoE triggers it multiple times. You'll rebuild your whirlwind attack up faster, plus on top of that you have various non-elite dervish AoE attacks and twin moon sweep.
Really I think 100b was upstaged in almost every conceivable situation. (Well, it may or may not work out for solor raptor farmers... but as far as actual teams go.)
Don't really get intensity. It definitely needed refocusing for elementalists, but it's current effect is hardly worth a skill slot. The current AP spammer might tack it with a lightning orb, and get an insta-recharge, but that's about it. Much more is needed from that skill after nerfing BuH.

It depends.
It could make a stampede-like build with a bunch of high damage dealers constantly pumping out damage, dying and resurrecting without death penalty. They'd do +33% damage, without any need for energy management or even a brain.

I hope a speedclear is created with 8 melee characters charging around dying every 30 seconds and blasting out insane damage with Vow of Strength+Sand Shards.

Hmm, Dwarven Stability + Pious Haste + fast recharge Flash Enchantment (Fleeting Stability?) = constant 50% speed boost

I realize people tend to complain about any changes and we'll see what happens, but that is exactly what I was thinking. I play(ed) a R/D and all I could think was "TYTYTYTY I had time to finish all my guardian and vanquisher before this hit."

2 players could probably keep this up indefinitely. 3 would make it an assurance. All 8 would mean unless everyone died at the same time, you wouldn't really need any healers. Although DP will still be racked up pretty quickly but the new Asuran Scan will cover that.
BUH+Asuran Scan will be the new kamikaze meta?

I am not particularly pleased with the change to BuH. :-/
Used it whenever I wanted to use my SS Necro. I suppose it's not a big deal, but it's probably the only really meaningful change for me. Liked intensity the way it was before too though. :-\

Shield of Force: changed to flash enchantment; increased Energy cost to 10; changed functionality to: "Enchantment Spell. For 1...16 seconds, blocks the next 1 attack against you. If an attack is blocked, all adjacent attacking foes are knocked down and suffer from Weakness for 5...20 seconds.
Very nice.

If you have another skill slot to spare, the new Extend Enchantments makes it maintainable.

This wasn't in the update notes, but Reaper's Sweep was changed:
Cost: 8 Adrenaline
Elite Scythe Attack
If this attack hits, you cripple your target for 14 (at 14 scythe mastery) seconds. You lose 1 Dervish enchantment. If an enchantment is removed, this attack knocks down for 3 seconds (again, 14 scythe mastery).

My main objection to the update is the fact it was implemented in the middle of the night the day before a 9am exam. I should be asleep, instead I'm refreshing Guru and wiki discussions from my phone in bed.
